How to Convert HEIC to JPG
Converting a HEIC photo to JPG takes seconds once you know the steps. The method below works on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android, because it runs in your browser.
Step 1: Add your HEIC photos
Open the HEIC to JPG converter, then drag your .heic files into the box, click to browse, or paste them with Ctrl + V. You can add one photo or a whole batch.
Step 2: Choose JPG and quality
Keep the format on JPG for maximum compatibility. The default quality of 90% looks identical to the original for photos in normal use. Choose PNG only if you need a lossless copy for editing.
Step 3: Download
Download each photo individually, or download the whole batch as one ZIP. If a form sets a size limit, turn on the exact-size option first and pick the target, such as 200 KB.
Stop your iPhone saving HEIC in future
On your iPhone, open Settings, then Camera, then Formats, and choose Most Compatible. New photos will be saved as JPG. Photos already taken stay in HEIC and still need converting.

Frequently asked questions
Why do my iPhone photos save as HEIC?
Since iOS 11 (2017), iPhones save photos as HEIC by default because it keeps similar quality in about half the file size of JPG.
Will converting to JPG lose quality?
JPG is lossy, so a small amount of quality is traded for compatibility. At 90% quality the difference is not visible in normal use.
